Hello there, it’s just me stopping by to say hello. I hope you are well and getting on with your busy week, or perhaps you’re on holiday and catching up with your emails. In any event, I hope you are able to spend a little time with me today.
I’m in a cleaning out mood at present and currently going through my clothing and ditching the things I haven’t worn for ages, or those items that have shrunk over the past year. Indeed, I have some of those! I like to give my clothing to the Opportunity shops that are local and have done so for many years. It’s getting cooler here as we approach our winter months, and the need for warm clothing is becoming critical.
We have an organisation in Brisbane called Knitting for Brisbane’s Needy and it’s a terrific group of people who click clack throughout their waking hours and manage to supply a huge amount of warm well made clothing to Brisbane’s homeless and destitute. Here’s their website for you to learn more: http://www.knittingforbrisbanesneedy.com.au/index.htm
I can imagine that every town and city where you live have similar groups. They’re worth their weight in gold don’t you think?
Last Sunday I posted a book review for a book I have recently received from Leisure Arts. It’s titled Asymmetrical Quilts and it’s a great book. Here’s my review: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art180607.asp
All quiet on the forum front at present – I guess everyone’s busy in their lives. Don’t forget, the forum is where you get to have your say. Here’s the link: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43
