Quilting

Hello there, my apologies for dragging my feet this week, it’s been a very looong week. Unfortunately we’ve been gently reminded of the circle of life with two relatives passing away within 48 hours of each other.

MD’s cousin and much loved uncle have left us for a better place. We travelled to Victoria for the funerals and managed to catch up with some dear friends along the way. It was lovely to see family again, even under these sad circumstances. We’re both a little ragged from the rushed trip, but so glad that we made the effort.

I’m more determined than ever to make the most of what time I have left on this earth, by making each day count and trying hard to leave things better than I found them. Both these delightful gentlemen left wonderful legacies.

Both were highly respected in their communities and had touched many lives along their lifes journey. Yes they will be missed, but they’ve left us something to go on with – the joy of helping those in the community that need support and care. Bless you Uncle Tommy and Ray.

I posted the final list of free placemat patterns on the website last Sunday. Here’s the link to that article:

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art47692.asp I had fun sourcing these for you and hope you are able to use one or two of them.

We’ve had some chat on the forum, especially some advice about getting rid of color run in our quilts. Here’s the link to that conversation: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/680984/colour_run#Post680984
