Hi all, it’s time for me to pop my head around the door and have a quick chat. How is it at your place? I’ve been very busy with Linus this week, and there’s lots going on at my Queensland Quilters as well. You may remember that we had dreadful flooding in Brisbane (and elsewhere in Qld) over the Christmas period and as usual quilters came to the rescue with many lovely quilts that are now being distributed to those who have been swallowed up in that terrible disaster.

In particular, note the many hundreds of donors who have been very generous with their money and fabrics. It truly is amazing just how communities come together in the time of need. We see it all over the world. We are all so very connected, regardless of race or color or culture. Very refreshing I think in this age of “it’s all about me”.
Last week I posted an article with links to all the quilt fabric manufacturers’ websites that I could source on the web. These websites are a fantastic resource, not only for current fabric collections and trends, but have large collections of free patterns (using their fabrics of course). I turn to them often when looking for a quilt pattern. I would encourage you to take some time to browse through these sites and see what they have to offer. All’s quiet on the forum front at present. Please feel free to have your say. Here’s the link to the forum: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43
