Good day everyone, another week has whizzed by and it’s time for my newsletter to you. I’ve had a busy week catching up with my crafting friends and getting some sewing done. We’ve had some overcast days lately, which are ideal for bunkering down in my sewing room and working over a hot sewing machine!
I have another easy Quilters Quickie recipe for you. This one I’ve been making for years, and made some up last weekend for a dinner party (I was the canapés). They’re called Savoury Puffs and only use five ingredients.
Here’s how: 2 boiled eggs, cut up; 3 slices of ham off the bone cut up; 3 shallots chopped up; 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise; and sheets of puff pastry. Mix the eggs, ham and shallots with the mayo. Cut the pastry sheet into nine squares. Place a little of the mixture on each square and fold over, using a fork to stick together. Pop in a hot oven for about 15 mins. Yummy!! This is very quick to put together and creates a meal in minutes!
I’ve been slowly getting some articles written for the How To Series I’ve started and last week I posted an article explaining the handful of formulas that I use when quilting. Here’s the link to that article: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art180660.asp
We’ve had a request from a regular reader for a simple scrappy quilt to make with a grandchild. Pop over to the forum and offer your suggestions: here’s the link: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/823999/Quilt_Pattern_for_a_child_to_m#Post823999
