Hi all, I’m running a day late this week – my apologies, but I’ve been head down you know what up, sewing like the clappers and getting some things done! Yesterday was our Sisters of Stitch gathering day and of course it was a wonderfully noisy get-together.
I love before and after articles. You know the ones – before and after sewing rooms, bathrooms, and makeovers of ordinary people like me. Well, I’ve got my own before and after to show you. (Don’t get too excited, not a makeover of me unfortunately. THAT would take a resurrection shuffle of huge proportions!!LOL).
My dining chairs are in good condition but the cushions have had their day and have really needed to be replaced for a number of years. Well, we bit the bullet and have reupholstered them ourselves and wow, we’re so pleased with our efforts. I took a picture, pop over to my blog and see for yourself. Here’s the link: http://whenlifehandsyouscraps.blogspot.com.au/. We’ve saved a lot of money (which I can spend on fabric!) and will get another five years of life from the dining chairs. Yeah!!
Thanks to the quilters who have contributed to the forum conversation regarding your three favourite quilting tips that are worth sharing. I’ve re-posted those answers onto an article for all to see and benefit from. So come on quilters, I know there’s lots of you out there that have great tip ideas that would be great to share.
Hop onto the forum and give us your tips. If you’re hesitant to get on the forum, you can email me personally on quilting@bellaonline.com and I’ll put them up on the forum for you. Here’s the forum conversation: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43
