Hi everyone, I’m running terribly late this week with your newsletter and I send my apologies to you. I have to admit it’s all self inflicted. I had this crazy moment when I decided to clean up my study desk, and that’s where I have my computer.
So I dusted, and shifted stuff and dusted some more, and then I really had a manic moment and got the vacuum out and vacuumed my keyboard. You guessed it! I sucked up a key from my keyboard. D to be exact.
Oh Dear! First thing I thought of was – don’t tell you-know-who, he’ll blow a fuse for sure because he’s warned me not to do that. So I searched through the very full dusty vacuum bag to no avail, couldn’t find it anywhere. After I’d made a huge mess on the tiled floor, I noticed Key D sitting on the shelf above the computer. How did it get there – it’s a mystery to me too!
So for the past few days I’ve been trying to get the key back on the keyboard. But I must have busted it when it got sucked up, and I’ve been trying to fix it. With a little blue tack and some serious praying, I’ve got the key sitting somewhat skewed on the keyboard, and occasionally it flips off the keyboard and I restick it back. It oesn’t work all the time (see), but it’s better than not having it there at all.
Not a final fix, but enough until I work out how to get a new keyboard!! BTW, you-know-who guessed something was up, and gave me that “I’ve told you not to use the vacuum on the keyboard” kinda look. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Last week I wrote an article about Fabric Stash VS Fabric Collection. Here’s the link: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art183887.asp
