Hi everyone, it’s Quilters Quarters newsletter time again! I’ve been battling a nasty head cold this week. Came on as a sore throat and them wham, hit me like a brick wall. Haven’t felt like doing much quilting, just mooching around feeling sorry for me!
When I’m crook like this week, I spend a lot of time reading my quilting books. Even if I’ve read them before, it’s amazing the fresh ideas you come across. I’m lucky to have a rather large library of quilting books, and I love them all. One day I’ll take the time to catalogue them and cross reference them. That would be the best way to manage them I think. I know there’s some great computer programs out there that help to manage and catalogue your books. So one day…..
Talking about computer programs, whilst surfing this week I came across a great FREE online quilt design program. So I continued surfing for more and eventually ended up with three very interesting, free to use, online quilt design programs. I thought you might like to know about them and posted an article about them last Sunday. Here’s the link, if you have the time, pop over and give them a go. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art172756.asp It’s sooo much fun!
Thought you might like to have some fun on the forum this week. Let’s play a game! It’s called Patchwork Alphabet Soup. Post a quilt related word that begins with the letter of the alphabet that comes next. Each post should be someone new with a word that begins with the letter that comes after the previous poster's letter. I can only imagine the creativity we'll have to dig up to find something for x, y, and z! I’m going to start with the first letter of the alphabet A. Pop over to the forum and have some fun with me!
