It’s Wednesday again, I’m up bright and early to get this newsletter off before my busy day hits the ground running! I’m going to Norfolk Island at the end of October again as I did last year, teaching for a week. It’s a wonderful week on the island, absolutely paradise and the organisers do such a good job of looking after everyone.
The quilt classes are a great lot of fun and there are a number of different quilt functions including a great quilt show. So I’m busy getting my lessons printed, and organising samples etc. Here’s a link to the Quilt Norfolk site for your interest: http://www.quiltnorfolk.com/ they have a week in October and a week in May just for quilters. I thoroughly recommend it.
The Postcard swap that I’m involved in is going really well and there’s been some fantastic postcards come my way! Ailsa in Bundaberg Queensland, Oz, is doing a fine job of organising the lists and being mother hen over us all. We really appreciate her efforts.
I’m in a group of girls from Bellaonline and last week I posted an article showing you some of the postcards I’ve received and have made. Here’s the link for your interest: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art173172.asp
I had a lovely email from Audrey through the week who told me that a lady in her craft group was boasting that she had finished all her sewing and shopping for “you know what” (I don’t say that word till the end of November), AND she has wrapped them all!! I get the idea of setting your goal high, but boy! What an over achiever!!
The forum is getting along nicely; we’ve just about finished the second round of Patchwork Alphabet Soup. Please pop over and help to finish it off (so to speak) so we can start another fun activity. On Sunday I’m posting an article that will have a forum component in it, and I think you’ll enjoy that one too!
