Walking is a great way to boost your health and general fitness.
The only difficult thing is to find the time to do it.
Our lives seem so busy these days but you owe it to yourself to take care of your body and mind.

Walking can improve your mood, help you sleep soundly and lose weight as well as being good for the heart.
Just try walking for 20 -30 minutes each day.

Remember that the times can be broken into smaller chunks – try walking for 15 minutes twice a day and then walk for longer at the weekends or on your day off.

Walking like any exercise needs to be done regularly to reap the benefits.

You can increase your daily steps by doing simple things such as -
Leaving the car at the furthest end of the parking lot
Taking the stairs rather than the elevator
Walking over to see a friend
Walking the kids to school
Walking around the shopping mall at least twice

Think how you can make little changes in your life style that will make walking seem natural and build them into your daily life.

Start up your own walking group with friends, relatives, and work colleagues.
Find a time when you can all get together once or twice a week and go walking together.
It is a good way to get fit and catch up on all the news etc.
