The first rebellion in the American colonies began with an uprising lead by Nathaniel Bacon in 1676.

Historians have had differences of opinion regarding Bacon's Rebellion. Some side with Governor Berkely, others with Bacon. Then there are some that say it was a case of two stubborn men fighting each other to prove who was better.
