Hello! I am the new Biology Editor for BellaOnline. I am very excited about this opportunity to share my knoweldge with the readers of the Biology Site, and I look forward to writing many articles. Ignaz Semmelweis, 1818 – 1865
Ignaz Semmelweis is considered the father of hygiene, but it took many years of hard work on his part before his theory that washing hands between patients was accepted in his homeland of Hungary, and many years after his death before it was accepted in other countries.
