February 23 2011 Biology Newsletter

Hello!

As one of millions of people with weight issues, I've started to take a closer look at the biology of weight gain and weight loss. I discovered an interesting thing along the way, and that is that most people don't really know as much as they think they do about the physiology involved with how their bodies work. I know I didn't!

So, I've decided to share a little of what I learn with my readers. Here's the latest article from the Biology site at BellaOnline.com.

What are Calories?
There's always a lot of talk about calories, especially when speaking in terms of weight loss. How many calories are too many? Does it matter what type of calories we consume? But, do most people really understand exactly what a calorie is and how calories work?
