In honor of both International Women's Day (which was March 8th) and this week's 50 year anniversary of the Tibetan rebellion against Chinese occupation (which triggered the Dalai Lama's flight to India), this week's article is on Tibetan Women's Uprising Day, which is TODAY.

Tibetan Women's Uprising Day
This week marks the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan uprising against Chinese occupation, which led to the Dalai Lama's escape. March 12th is a special day set aside by the Tibetan Women's Association to honor the Tibetan women that participated in this historic event.
