March 4 2007 Budget Travel Newsletter
About a year ago, I was in Spain with a big group of professionals from Spain and various English-speaking places. The Spanish people were there to perfect their English skills, and we English speakers were there to help them.
One of the things the Spanish people had to do was to give a speech in English. A very charming doctor had the room in stitches with his description of the ups and downs (most of his were downs!) of flying on budget airlines.
We can all learn from his experiences, as you will see in the article "Finding value in discount airline offers".
Budget airlines offer deep discounts but sometimes the value is not what it appears to be. Plan ahead to get the most for your money.
In the Budget Travel Forum, I am inviting everyone to participate in the budget travel challenges. These are fun challenges where we will see who the best bargain finders are. Right now, there is a challenge on to find accommodation for a family in New York City, and another to find accommodation for a single woman in Paris. While both of these are hypothetical cases, I'm sure that the information is useful to lots of us.
