December 13 2011 Cancer Newsletter
My article this week is on Colon Cancer.
So many people are having Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and with the holidays here upon us, and a lot of rich food, I thought it would be a good topic to cover.
Dairy products generally produce inflammation in the intestine. This includes milk cream and cream cheese, among others. Many of these products are used to make dishes this time of year, so be on the lookout in case you have trouble. You may be able to get by with just a taste, but that’s all I would do!
If you have a lot of places to go, eat light, but do keep up a regular eating schedule, because I’ve found that can irritate your system, too. Your body needs the fuel to get through the stress.
Make sure you take time out to rest and recharge.
Remember – moderation in eating. But…enjoy the Season to the fullest!
Many blessings this week!
p.s. My book review should be out next week on The Lovin’ Ain’t Over for Women with Cancer by Ralph and Barbara Alterowitz. www.renewintmacy.org $18.95. It’s actually done, and archived under Book Reviews. We are just trying to get the photo graphic up! Take a look if you want, it should be featured on the site Home Page for next week! Have fun!
