WELCOME TO THE CAREER TRAINING CONNECTOR
Quote of the week: “Do not permit yourself to see obstacles and roadblocks where others see opportunities” – Harry Chambers
Tips for DAY 1 of starting a new job:
1 – Leave home in enough time to get to work early. Don’t run in at the last minute. Try to anticipate everything from needing to change outfits to rush hour traffic. Better early then late.
2 - Dress appropriately. Ask the Human Resources Department prior to your first day.
3 – Remember names. Remembering names may be hard, but try to learn at least the people in your department.
4 – Take notes. You’ll have 1000 bits on information thrown at you on your first day that you won’t remember. Having notes to refer to on day two will help you out.
