June 13 2006 Christian Literature Newsletter

Dear Readers:

I have not sent newsletters for the past two months because I have been recovering from an extremely complicated knee replacement. After spending a month hospitalized and in rehabilitation, I still have two months to go using a walker. If you thought to pray for my recovery, thank you! I experienced a minor miracle. My left leg has always been shorter than my right leg necessitating a one-half inch lift on my left shoes. I was really struggling to walk again and kept telling people I felt like I was leaning to the right. My surgeon had me take off my shoes at my first office visit after surgery. He discovered my hips are now level without the lift! I am praising the Lord for small miracles because the surgeon says he did nothing to lengthen that leg.

The Changing Face of World Missions
Missions have changed dramatically over the past thirty years since I served for a six-month period on the island of Utila, Isles of the Sea, Honduras. I think back to a time when we didn’t even have telephones or email to let people know how we were doing.
