This article is by guest editor Tracey-Kay Caldwell. The Current events topic is in need of a new editor. If you devour every newspaper you can get your hands on, subscribe to dozens of blogs and debate the news at every opportunity, you might be just what we're looking for. We want an editor who can evaluate the issues in a non-partisan way for hard-core news topics. (You can have an opinion, but not on a party line, since we have editors for the parties.) Remember...analysis and a serious event in the news this week. This isn't a write-on-everything-in-the-world topic. It's for serious national and international news. We want a real news junky!
