November 23 2006 Depression Newsletter

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday (if you are in the U.S.).
Things are pretty cold and gloomy on the East Coast. It doesn't look
too good for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It seems that it may be
too windy for the balloons.

Many of you have written to me about how the holidays are really
tough on you emotionally. So I thought I'd write this piece in recognition
of all of you out there dealing with the holiday season.

*On a side note, if you haven't picked up the book "You On A Diet...The Owner's
Manual To Waist Management" by Michael F. Roizen, Mehmet C. Oz, you should
get it. It's well written and it has been studied by scientists how obesity
and depression are interconnected. It's a great read.
