As children, we breathe naturally. Over time,breathing becomes affected by our emotional states, our fitness level, and our general level of tension. Mindful breathing can be meditative and also help create good patterns that can permeate and energize our lives.

Breathing as a Muscular Activity

Most people take it for granted, but breathing is a complex action involving coordinated action by many muscle groups. This article takes you through identifying those groups and introduces some beginning techniques for improving your breath.
