Chinchillas Part 1
Pet chinchillas are intelligent, and sweet. They are reasonably easy to care for. They do need a large, tall cage, with multiple layers. They have an advanced herd social structure it is necessary to be knowledgeable about introducing a new chinchilla to another chinchilla.

Chinchilla Food Treats and Grooming
The chinchilla has special dietary needs; they cannot be fed pellets meant for other rodents or rabbit pellets. They must have hay, preferably Timothy hay to aid in their digestion. They must have calcium; a good form would be a cuttlefish bone for a bird. They may die if you give them treats – learn more!

“You are forever responsible for what you have tamed”

Is a quote shared by ncc4200a a long time Exotic Pet Forum member, Exotic Newsletter subscriber and honestly, instrumental in helping be start the original Exotic Pets BellaOnline. It had to have been 1999 when I started; I think I ended around early 2006. Nobody can figure out the exact dates. But I thank ncc4200a for one, helping me and sharing that quote that I think we should all sit down when we have some quiet time and give it some thought. Please, come by the forum and share your thoughts. Again, “You are forever responsible for what you have tamed”

We have some pretty astute and perceptive posts in the forum this week; I think you all ought to take a look. LivingDeadCupcake I am not ignoring your post, but giving it some serious thought. I will respond, in fact I am hoping someone else will respond to this, it is a “right on” statement.
