Folklore and Mythology

October 8 2009 Folklore and Mythology Newsletter

“The time has come,” the walrus said, “to talk of many things: of shoes and ships-and sealing wax-of cabbages and kings.” -Lewis Carroll

I would like to give a great big “Hello!” to all the Folklore and Mythology Enthusiasts, or the FME’S for short, who visit my site and are previous Newsletter subscribers. I would like to point out that I am your new Editor and it is with much humility that I do hope to do as great a job as your former editor, Phyllis. From what I see I have some pretty big shoes to fill! If you would like to learn a little bit about me all you have to do is click on my name and read my bio. I chose the above quote, taken from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” as a starting to point to what I hope to bring to the F&M site.

Just about everything and anything pertaining to our theme that is pertinent, informative, fresh and new will be found in your twice monthly newsletter. If you, the subscriber, have any interesting topics you would like for me to cover, whether it be as an article or a forum discussion, please feel free to send me an email. I will take any above board requests seriously.
What a great month to begin my new endeavor! There is one reason why I love the month of October so much and that’s because it’s Halloween! This month’s focus will be primarily on the lore of many creatures often associated with this spooktacular holiday; and what folklore and mythology site would be complete without some good ghost fables, as well as, historical hauntings?

It is with sincere wishes that you find my articles, links and forums lively, on topic, and informative. I have posted two new articles in the forum for your viewing.

So, take a moment and become a subscriber. The sign up box is posted on the right hand side of the Folklore and Mythology page. Always remember that Bellaonline does not share your email address with anyone, not even me. Be sure to confirm your request so that you do indeed receive your twice monthly newsletter. If you do not receive a confirmation then be sure to put us on your “white list.”

If there are other topics of interest to you on here Bellaonline, be sure to sign up and receive their newsletters as well, this way you’ll always be up-to-date.

Happy Hauntings,
Michelle
