Greetings to all folks near and far.
A time of family gathering is coming up for those who observe Thanksgiving Day. I send best wishes to all, for a wonderful holiday and good times with family.
Last year, my daughter tried a new recipe for her Thanksgiving turkey and it was delicious! She soaked the turkey in brine for 24 hours before she roasted it. I could not believe the taste and tenderness of the turkey meat. It was awesome. I am so looking forward to tasting again this year. She is having her turkey dinner on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving day, my brother and I are cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. So, we get two Thanksgiving dinners this year. Ohhhh! the joy of turkey dinners, and the stuffing, and the cranberries, mashed potatoes and gravy.... mmmm-mmm-mm!
If you have a special way of cooking turkey, I would love to hear about it. Come join me in my Folklore and Mythology forum, and let's talk turkey!
