Folklore and Mythology

April 10 2013 Folklore and Mythology Newsletter

Greetings of the season to all folks near and far.

Here is the second article about the Elk Dogs from the Folklore and Mythology site at BellaOnline.com.

Long Arrow and the Elk Dogs
The story of Orphan Boy and the elk dogs is a Blackfoot legend that goes back to the time when the Spaniards first arrived in the new world during the mid sixteenth century. This is when the indigenous people of North America first saw a horse.

At the end of the above article is a link that will take you to the final chapter of the Elk Dogs. I would love to have you stop by my forum and let me know if you are enjoying this legend from the Blackfoot people.

Till next time, may you walk in peace and harmony.
