Dear Greek Food Reader,

Summer here, and that means it's time to dine outdoors. Souvlaki fresh from the grill and fresh salads are what I am looking for. This week I've posted a recipe for Lahanosalata. Even though cabbage is a winter vegetable, I love eating this salad at this time of year. There's something about the way it pairs with grilled meat. And how about drinking a glass of Retsina, or a nice white wine from Santorini? I once served a Santorini white at a dinner party. There were only three of us, and the bottle was gone very quickly.
