Good morning, human rights advocates.
Thank you for all your well wishes last week. They were very appreciated. I am doing much better this week and will soon be back to full health.
This week’s topic is a very solemn one. You’ve probably caught the news already, but this month, the U.S. Senate released a report revealing new details about the interrogation techniques used against prisoners following the attack on September 11, 2001. Many of these techniques were purely and simply torture, and were gross violations against the human rights of those prisoners. My heart has been very heavy since hearing details about this report, but I decided that writing about it was an important thing to do. People need to hear about it and the CIA needs to be held accountable for the things they have done.
