My Best Wishes to all of you who celebrated Bakrid this Monday. After a host of celebrations and fun times, we now get back to exploring the intricacies of Indian Culture. This week we take a look at the Asian Palmyra Tree.

Indians have learnt to find a use for every part of palm trees, making them one of the most useful trees. Though not native to India, the Asian Palmyra Tree, Borassus flabellifer flourishes on the Indian Sub continent. Read more about palm trees in India here.
