January 3 2011 Nursing Newsletter

Hope everyone had happy holidays, is rested, and ready for the new year ahead of us. With that said, part of being ready for the new year is to be as healthy as possible. Everyone wants to lose weight and be healthy as part of their New Year resolution.

One way to be healthy is to remember to wash your hands frequently, especially with cold and flu season upon us. Please make sure to read the latest editorial on the importance of hand washing. In this article is also instructions for the proper technique.

When soap and water are not available, make sure to have hand sanitizer readily available for use. I carry some in my purse, in my car, on my desk, on my counter. I have even been known to carry samples and give them out to people!

Wishing you all a year of health, prosperity, and blessings.
