March 13 2011 Pediatrics Newsletter
Spring is offically in the air. This morning brings rain in western canada, and I have been watching the robins, the first sign of spring, flit all over my yard all day.
However, it is still cold, and I am having a hard time keeping my little ones happy and occupied after a full winter of being cooped up indoors. My solution? Educational, interactive videos. Our favorites are Signing Time. My daughter is two years old, she talks incredibly well, but she also knows over 100 signs. Signs are proven to speed development, help with tantrums by giving your child a way to communicate, and they also help with hand-eye coordination.
So, without further ado, here's the latest article from the Pediatrics site at BellaOnline.com.
Signing Time Review
A review of the popular DVD series "Signing Time" with Rachel Coleman. A Signing series designed to teach babies and children the basics of American Sign Language in a fun and captivating way.
