January 17 2013 Philosophy Newsletter

Dear fellow Philosophy enthusiasts:

I want to share my most recent article with you, The Power of Words. I was very excited about writing this article as the Philosophy of Language has always been an area of fascination for me.

Although our society and culture have become more and more aware of the role that THOUGHTS play in our daily lives, there is still a tendency to underestimate how powerful the role is that language - and most specifically WORDS - have in our day-to-day existence.

From our relationships with others to the perceptions we have of ourselves, words are capable of transforming our lives for good . . . or for evil.

And without further ado, here is my article:

The Power of Words
We all concede that our thoughts play a role in our habits, actions, and lives. But thoughts do not have the social impact that words have. In The Power of Words, I examine how not consciously paying attention to the words we speak can have a devastating impact on ourselves and on those around us.
