Dear Readers,

This time I wanted to present you one of Polish Saints, Faustyna Kowalska. She is particularly known for having visions of Jesus Christ Mercyful during her stay in the convent. Even if you cannot remember Faustyna herself, you probably have seen at least once in your life the picture of Divine Mercy that has been painted according to her vision. I chose her person as my sister used to tell me a lot about her, as she has always been inspired by her pious life and experience described in the diary that she led.

Helena was born in a poor numerous family of Kowalskis. She felt the vocation in her early years. In spite of serious illness and poor education, Faustyna richly described her mystic experiences. Apart from the diary, Faustyna is also associated with the depiction of Divine Mercy.
