October 5 2008 Polish Culture Newsletter
Warmest greetings from Krakow,
There is one more week behind us and one more new article on Polish Culture site. This week I decided to introduce you to the folk culture of ethnic group of Gorale from Podhale region. Their customs and tradition are visible in everyday life of the inhabitants from Zakopane. This small town has a lot to offer to its visitors: wonderful cuisine, folk costumes, wonderful music and dances. I invite you to read the article from which you can get to know more about Polish highlanders culture.
Savouring Highlanders culture in Zakopane.
The area nearby Polish mountains is a place where the folk tradition is still alive. You can still see there inhabitants dressed in folk costumes attending Sunday mass while the restaurants prepare for the visitors show, consisting of folk music and dances.
