November 20 2008 Polish Culture Newsletter
Dear Friends,
Can you already feel Christmas? I have a feeling that it is just around the corner and soon all the streets of my town will be covered with Christmas embellishments. Although it is still one month to Christmas, I hope you will enjoy the new article that will introduce you to the most important Polish Christmas tradition, that is Wigilia. This way you still have time to research more information, ask, tell, share with others on Polish Culture Forum or maybe prepare traditional Polish Wigilia at your home, no matter in which part of the world you live.
Get to know what Wigilia is by reading this weeks new article on BellaOnline:
Wigilia, Polish Christmas tradition
On the 24th of December Polish families gather at the table to hear the Gospel about birth of Jesus Christ, share Christmas wafer and eat 12 traditionally served dishes. Wigilia is surely one of the most important events in Poland.
