July 3 2008 Post College Newsletter

Hi Readers,

Well, for most of you, it's been about 6 weeks since graduation! Are you going crazy yet? This can be a tough time. Whether you are moving to a new town, trying to fit in to a new job, or still searching for the right place to start your career--it's definitely a period of transition.

As you are struggling to create the "new you", remember that there are people who would love to help! Call your career center, call your mom, call a friend! Sometimes just chatting about your situation will make it seem more manageable. And, while you're waiting for the right position, consider trying out temp work, or even volunteering somewhere. Being active beats being bored, and besides--this new activity could lead to something great!

In the meantime, here is a link to the latest Post College article. It's meant to give you a little more power during your job search. Good luck!

High Impact Follow Up Letter
WAIT! Don't just toss that rejection letter in the trash. If you still want to pursue employment at a particular company, even after being rejected for a job, try sending a letter like this.
