DRTA Reading Activity
DRTA stands for directed reading, thinking activity. It is a great comprehension strategy. During the DRTA the student is engaging in predicting, gathering, confirming/disconfirming information. These are the procedures for doing a DRTA using narrative or non-fiction texts.
