October 30 2008 Romance Novels Newsletter

Hello, and welcome back! It's been a busy month here, but I've still managed to squeeze in some reading time.

If you haven't stopped by the main site lately, you've missed the rest of the October romance reviews, like Ultimate Weapon, Flat-Out Sexy, Immortals: The Crossing, Show No Mercy, Seduce Me at Sunrise, A Cedar Cove Christmas, Warrior, The Wild Sight, and The Rustler. And those are only the second half of the month. We're actually into the beginning of the November books with the first couple on that list, and there are several more November romances waiting for next week to have reviews posted.

For fans of paranormal romances and even fantasy books, the Lancaster, PA Borders Express in Park City Mall is hosting a booksigning this weekend in honor of Halloween. Saturday, Nov. 1, from 1 - 3 p.m., paranormal romance authors Joy Nash and Diana Holquist, and fantasy author Jeri Smith-Ready will be signing their latest books and would love to meet you if you're nearby. Maybe I'll even run into some of you there!

If you haven't stopped by the forum lately, you just missed our October ARC giveaway. But don't worry if you missed it. The new month is right around the corner, and there are plenty more ARCs sitting here waiting to be given away. Also, I'd love if you'd stop by this forum as well and join in on some of the discussions there.

For the writers out there, if you weren't in New Jersey last weekend for the annual NJRW Put Your Heart in a Book conference, you missed a great weekend filled with fantastic workshops and very good speakers. There was something for everyone, even if you aren't writing romance, actually, because mystery author Lisa Scottoline joined the crew on Saturday and gave a terrific lunch speech. During the editors' panel, an Avon editor mentioned that they're looking for shapeshifter romances, and they like their paranormal romances 'dark'.

Hopefully, you're all finding time for reading now that it's getting a little chilly for outdoor activities, at least here in the northeast. Until next time, happy reading and writing!
