Romance Novels

May 11 2009 Romance Novels Newsletter

Hello, and welcome back! I hope you're all finding plenty of reading time in between spring chores and activities. And that the moms among us all had a great Mother's Day yesterday. I spent mine driving out to visit my grandma, who probably won't be with us next Mother's Day, and we had a nice visit.

If you haven't been by the main site lately, you've been missing out on the new May romance reviews, like At Last Comes Love , Vision in White, Sea Lord, Burning Alive, Rescue Me, and One Deadly Sin. I've actually read through most of the May romances already, though I haven't reviewed all of them. Some I'll devote review space to, and the others are, or will be, listed over in the forum. Some of the ones not yet listed will be by the end of this week, and I imagine by the end of next week, I should have most of the May reviews posted as well.

I realized last week that it's been a very long time since I last did a comprehensive reader survey here, so I'm hoping to correct that this summer. And, to that end, I've posted the same survey in both romance forums. You can find it either here, or here, depending on where you've registered to participate. And if you haven't yet registered in either forum, you'll need to do that to take part in this year's readers' survey. I hope you'll join us in finding out what romance readers want in their reading, and please, share these links with your romance reading pals. We want as many responses to this survey as possible, and the cut-off date is June 30, 2009. After that, I'll close both surveys and compile the results into an article (or series of them, depending on the responses we get).

For the readers and writers, Brenda Novak's annual auction is going on right now here. There are all sorts of goodies up for grabs, and the money all goes to benefit diabetes research.

If you haven't stopped by the forum lately, you missed out on our latest ARC giveaway, not to mention all the reader discussions. I hope we'll see you there or here.

Until next time, happy reading!
