I've resigned myself to the fact that my reading isn't going to be caught up anytime soon, if only to take a little stress off my plate right now. I am in the midst of a little catch-up right now, though, so expect to see some new reviews posted in a batch. The most recent one I've posted is for Fever by Joan Swan.
If you jumped on the bandwagon and gave 50 Shades of Grey a try and found it not to your liking, you might want to keep another story in mind: Andrew Shaffer's 50 Shames of Earl Grey, written as Fanny Merkin. It is an absolutely hilarious parody. I had to stop my initial read at a very late hour as *ahem* people attempting to sleep in my house were a bit peeved at my laughter.
If you're like me, you remember when Barbara Delinsky still wrote romance novels, way back in the 80s. At the moment, St. Martin's Press is reissuing some of her classics as e-books. Some of these titles were written under pen names, and all of them have been unavailable for a very long time. I was very excited to see these announcements, as even I missed a few of her pseudonymous books in my reading back then, and I imagine I'm not alone.
I hope you'll stop by the forum to join in on discussions about reading and perhaps if your timing is good, get your hands on some giveaway ARCs. We also have more discussions here. Registration is required for participation in both forums, but it's free and quick, so please do join us!
Until next time, happy reading and writing!
