Note to subscribers: My apologies for the lateness of this newsletter, but the recent flooding in Queensland, Australia, where I live, took precedence this week. Although my house escaped the flooding, my town didn't, and we were cut off for a few days. Thankfully the weather has cleared and the floodwaters receding, but a massive clean up lies ahead. My heart goes out to those much more severely affected, who have lost homes and family in this terrible event. The victims of the terrible flood in Brazil, which claimed so many lives, are also in my thoughts.
