February 12 2018 Tatting Newsletter
The Finger Lakes Tatting Group is planning a special project for a fund-raiser – a treasure chest with treasures from as many tatters as possible that can be auctioned off.
They hope for the donation of a small bit of tatting or a tatting treasure (a small motif or another small bit of tatting, an old piece of tatting or edging, a pattern, shuttle, or tool. Perhaps a special bead, finding, thread or ?) – something small that could fit into a small (snack size or smaller) plastic bag – with a small card or note from the donor.
These are going into a wooden chest which will go to the highest bidder. Because every tatter is a special tatter, wherever you’re from or however long you’ve been tatting, something from anyone who’d like to participate will be welcomed with joy!
Our event is happening April 6-8, 2016 (information is at www.fingerlakestatting.com) so it would be great if everything could be sent out to us no later than the end of March.
Please mail donations to Ginny Weathers 7956 Mentz Church Rd Port Byron, NY 13140. For more information, contact Karey Solomon at threads through the service empacc.net. Thank you!
