October is a good month to celebrate human rights. Lets start with Lech Walesa, who's goal was to obtain human rights for the working person:

Lech Walesa Wins Nobel Peace Prize
Lech Walesa was not a highly educated man, but he worked hard and often suffered punishments to obtain rights for the working class. On October 5, 1983, Walesa was rewarded with the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts supporting human rights.
