The holidays are upon us...

Well, not quite, but they are getting close and we're just in time to start thinking about how we're going to get through them with a smile on our face and no extra pounds or health challenges when we come out on the other side. It all gets down to information and choices. How do we choose the right things for our meals that are not only healthy but enjoyable and familiar?

This week marks the 3rd week of our "Shortcuts Series" where I'm laying the foundation for out of the box experiences in the kitchen. In this particular issue I dropped an all purpose garlic spread recipe that's got me excited!

Let me tell you... it's bailed me out of quite-a-many time crunches, meal challenges and many more binds while cheffing for my clients.

Take a gander at it and let me know how you expand on it. It has so many applications that I couldn't begin to list them all, but I'm sure you will.

Did you know by adding a lot of colors [fruits, veggies, nuts & seeds, roots and sprouts] to your diet you will end up boosting your overall health?

It turns out that all of those colors mean something. They protect and nourish different parts of your system to keep you healthy. So the next time you're in the market, whether it be he farmers' market, an international market or your regular grocery store, pick out a new color to add to your meals. Your body will thank you for it.

Now let's catch up on this past week's happenings.

- We took a trip out of town and saw the beauty of the land.
- No studio work.
- I've been putting more work in to the recipe book and cooking course. [I'm really enjoying that process!]
- I've checked out a slew of books to review and talk about in my review section.
- Forum discussions continue

and without further ado...
