August 10 2007 Wrestling Newsletter

I wanted to get another newsletter out to update everyone on some things that are going on in the world of professional wrestling today.

First, Jeff Hardy is gone from the WWE for at least a month but it is unclear whether he is gone due to an injury or some sort of misconduct. He was supposed to culminate his feud with Umaga at Summerslam but that has been scrapped now.

Look for his potential return in September.

The WWE received another congressional letter regarding the alleged steroid use among WWE workers.
That letter can be read here:

A couple of things that may be important in the letter are that the deadline given to Vince is set for August 15 which is nine days sooner than the first letter gave him.

Secondly, the letter mentions that other wrestling organizations will be looked at as well. Watch out TNA!

ESPN.com is reporting that the Tennessee Titans are issuing a restraining order against Pacman Jones from appearing on the TNA pay-per-view this Sunday.
That report can be read here:

Here's a bit of trivia for you. Deuce, of Deuce and Domino is the son of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. For those of you who did not know this, now you are informed.

That's all the news I have for now, wrestling fans. When I know more, so will you.
