Study shows Carbs Make People Hungry

You've tried the low-fat diets where you eat a ton of carbs. You found that you were always hungry. Science has now shown that eating carbs does indeed put your body into an always-hungry cycle that perpetuates itself.

Dr. David Ludwig of Boston's Children's Hospital did a study recently, working with teenage boys who were overweight. He split the boys into three groups. For breakfast, he gave each group the exact same number of calories.

One group had a low carb breakfast - fruit and an omelet.
One group had a medium carb breakfast - steel-cut oats.
One group had a high carb breakfast - instant oatmeal.

When lunchtime came around, Dr. Ludwig put all three groups of boys in front of an all-you-can eat buffet. Sure enough, the high carb oatmeal eaters were starving again and ate twice as much as the omelet eaters. This is even though they consumed the same number of *calories*.
