Low Carb Breakfast = Less Hungry at Lunch

Low Carb Breakfast = Less Hungry at Lunch
Research done by the Oxford Brookes University reinforces what other studies have found - that eating a low carb breakfast helps control your hunger pangs at lunchtime.

The study was done over 8 months with children between the ages of 9 and 12. It found that the children who ate a low carb breakfast went to lunch with a reasonable appetite.

The children who ate the same amount of calories but ate them in a high carb fashion ended up with a sugar spike in their blood. By the time lunchtime rolled around they were starving again. So they ended up eating much more food at lunch than their low carb counterparts. Not only that, but they were much crankier before lunchtime, because they felt that they were very hungry and needed food.

As a side benefit of the low carb diet, because they were not as hungry, the low carb eaters therefore ate fewer calories over the course of the entire day. They naturally lost weight.
