Zinc

Zinc is needed in more than 100 of the body’s enzymes and is involved in many essential body functions. The body needs zinc to make DNA, RNA, insulin, dozens of enzymatic reactions and to facilitate cellular repair and renewal.* Zinc is vitally important for healthy skin, connective tissue and normal prostate function.*

Zinc also works as an antioxidant and is involved in carbohydrate metabolism and the activation of vitamins, especially B-vitamins.* Additionally, zinc is important to the immune system and detoxification of chemicals and metabolic irritants.*

Less than 10% of dietary zinc is absorbed and many zinc supplements can cause stomach irritations.
