Gifted and Talented Children - Special Needs

Just as each child has his or her own special needs, each child has gifts and talents that benefit their community. Children who are academically gifted or have exceptional talent deserve the same support, opportunities and encouragement in reaching their potential, living a good quality of life with a richness of experience that helps them be well rounded and well balanced individuals.

There is the same diversity in children who are gifted and talented as any other group, so some will have special needs in addition to support, opportunities and encouragement that may be unique to their recognized abilities.
