Anti-Aging and Ethnic Skin Care

Anti-aging is being seen everywhere in beauty anti-aging products, anti-aging beauty. But how does this effect you as an Ethnic Beauty or a person of color. When you see everything from face creams to foundations to nutritional supplements you might wonder why is it being approached and hit so hard.

It used to be that these products were only geared toward the mature market (baby boomers), but now you're looking at and seeing this campaign towards everyone. The segment of buyers, who are looking for products to help them stay young and have beautiful skin, goes deeper than the mature market or baby boomers.

Anti-aging no longer applies to looking to reduce a fine line or minimize a wrinkle. The key to healthy youthful looking skin lies in how well hydrated your skin is, how evenly toned it is and the texture and suppleness your skin is.

Anti Aging More About The Ingredients

Studies show that in today's market, products that address aging, should have some mention or ingredient that deals with dehydration, fine lines, skin discoloration, wrinkles, loss of elasticity and fullness of your skin. Preventative skin care is extremely important and when we talk about that, we're really looking at a good skin care regimen. Cleansing, toning, moisturizing, exfoliating, using a mask to hydrate or remove oils. All of this is part of a regimen and a preventative technique in skin care.

A good moisturizer is the key to keeping your skin supple. A good exfoliant is the key to removing dead skin cells that can often block or clog your pores and cause a dull ashy gray look, especially to skin of color.

It's also important for you to understand products, the ingredients of a product and what to look for when you're treating problems you're having with your skin. If you're looking for hydration, a great honey mask is going to be a product that will help you achieve this result. Honey is a wonderful hydrate for your skin.

When you're looking for or need a product that's going to help you repair your skin, you want to look for ingredients that are going to work together and help maintain a balance in caring for your skin. Your Shea butters, your honey, green tea, cocoa butters and lactic acids are some of the ingredients you'll look for in products.

Essential oils add and enhance healing abilities to your toners, moisturizers and other ingredients. What they're capable of doing remains and always will be a key factor in how effective a product will work for you.

Natural Ingredients, the Key to Quality in a Product

The more natural the ingredient (especially for skin of color), the better results you will have. You are a natural being and the more true you stay to the natural ingredients of the product, the better results you're going to get when it comes to caring for your skin.

When you're looking at a regimen there are things you can do that are a part of your home regimen. You have a good product line that will allow you to cleanse, tone, moisturize, exfoliate, hydrate or remove oil.

Do this on a daily basis at home. Then, once a month or every 6 weeks, you want to schedule an appointment with an esthetician that's going to give you a deep treatment of your skin.

The esthetician will provide a facial that's going to go deeper into the layers of your skin and, for no other reason, treat it as a time to get away and relax. You'll be surprised at how relaxation can improve the condition and appearance of your skin

That's it for this week ...
