I am married of 25 years soon to be 26 years. We have three grown children and one granddaughter. Our granddaughter lost her mother in a car accident about a year ago. My son became full time parent over night. They both live with my husband and me. She is a delight to have around although tiring and stressful at times. She is five and will be starting school this year.
Recently I was faced with a life and death situation that resulted in five units of blood and an emergency operation. Since being in recovery I have returned to my passion of writing like never before. After all the persevering and commitment to my writing I have been chosen to be editor of this site. This is truly a dream come true for me.
My background is a well-rounded life. I was raised in the military and traveled with my father to many places over seas. I graduated high school in Rota Spain. While in Europe we visited many countries. I was able to live among others in different cultures and learn about their history.
While in high school I participated in many talent shows, modeling shows and was privileged to be the star guest in some of the parades and festivals as the country celebrated it’s holidays and special occasions etc. While in high school I was a member of the chorus line. During this time we performed in other schools and around different countries. Because of all the activities that involved performance I learned about beauty, make-up and hair.
I am a Christian and have strong beliefs. I live by my faith and I live my life by what I believe. I always look for the beauty in everyone. I am a self-educated beauty advisor. I taught myself about health, skin, hair and body care. I have even made my own herbal skin and hair care products that worked great. I am currently reclaiming my own beauty as being over 45. I care about people and have a desire to help ethnic women find their peace with their own beauty. This is why I use the phrase “A beauty that is uniquely you”.
My passion is writing. I love to write. I write about things that interest me and I try to share my wealth of knowledge with others through my writing. I write spiritual and inspirational articles in hopes that I can encourage other women especially ethnic women to let their beauty shine through. I am currently working on a book and an ebook devotional.
I also have my own website called Becomingdebtfree.org. It is a site for people who are still in debt but want someplace to talk about the stress they suffer and the relief that can be had by getting out of debt. It is my saga of getting out of debt. One thing about beauty you must relieve some of the stress in our lives. I know for me it’s hard to be beautiful when you can’t afford the products you want or would like to have. I am writing an ebook for this site too. Again I have varied interests and projects I am currently working on.
I am also an Independent Avon Sales Representative. I believe in their products and they are not very expensive, but in my journey to become debt free this is one of my choices to earning extra income and help you the ethnic woman at the same time
So whether you have dark skin, brown skin, olive or what ever, my hope is that I can bring you, the Ethnic Woman, the best of the best that is created for us today. I also hope you will join me on a journey to find our beauty that is uniquely us, each of us possessing our own distinct beauty.
