These days, with two wonderful (and young) sons, Michelle and her husband don´t travel as much as she would like, though they still get away whenever they can. Their toddler already talks fondly of "flying in the plane again" and "going for a trip," and she looks forward to sharing her love of travel with her boys... and learning to see the world again through their eyes.
Michelle is a published travel writer, with several freelance articles under her belt, including contributing articles to the Passporter.com Travel Newsletter. She is also the monthly Honeymoon Writer for the Wedding Day Sourcebook. Some of her articles can be found on her personal website.
As the owner of Magical Escapes Vacations, Michelle is able to share her passion and expertise with her clients. Where does Australia come in? Michelle fell in love with the South Pacific - Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, the Cook Islands - when she and her husband first journeyed there in 1999, and she goes back at least once a year. She loves to share her love of the destination, whether through sharing stories, writing articles, or sending her clients on unforgettable journeys. She is a certified Premier Aussie Specialist with Tourism Australia, a Kiwi Specialist with Tourism New Zealand, a Tahiti Tiare Agent with Tourism Tahiti, and a Fiji Matai Agent with Tourism Fiji. She is a South Pacific Destination Specialist, certified through the Travel Institute.
Tourism Australia honored her excellence in selling Australia and planning vacations by awarding her the prestigious Opal Award for Best FIT (Fully Independent Travel) Itinerary in 2007, naming her one of the five Top Aussie Specialists in North America. She was recently featured in Travel Weekly´s Agent Life, and mentioned in the Providence Journal´s Travel Notes.
Though she travels the world, and sends clients all over (from a River Cruise through the wine country of France, to walking with penguins on Antartica), Australia and the South Pacific will always hold a special place for her.
